Infants

This time is one of the most important periods of development.  Infants begin learning at birth, which is why we provide a program that will encourage each infant to develop at his/her own pace.  Through plans for developing milestones (socially and emotionally), our program them intellectually with adult interaction in the form of games such as “peek-a-boo”, singing and talking.  We provide the infants the opportunity to interact with each other as well as physically changing their positions and encouraging the movement of the arms and legs while lying on the carpeted floor

Toddler I & II

Children continue to grow and develop at their own pace at fifteen months to two years of age.  At Keeper’s Kids, Inc., we provide a program that nurtures each child’s individual growth. We focus on introducing this age group to a wide variety of activities that encourages learning through play and exploration.  Our teachers talk to each child and encourage them in these early stages to talk by listening and repeating the words that can be understood.  Language, self-help and potty training skills are developed along with the continued development of large and small muscles through hands on activities.

PreSchool

At Keeper’s Kids, Inc., we understand that three to five year olds are ready to learn, so we provide learning activities that are fun while at the same time preparing them for kindergarten.  Our structured learning program for three years to five year olds focuses on providing hands on sensory experiences that help children understand basic math and science concepts.  Our language-learning program is based on the whole language concept and encourages the development of pre-reading and pre-writing skills.  We offer a classroom environment that encourages independent exploration and learning through interest areas. Activities to continue the development of the small and large muscles are also provided.

The Chicago Public Schools Community Partnership Subcontracting Program serves three-and-four year old children who, because of their home or community environment, may need extra preparation for kindergarten.  The program provides developmentally appropriate experiences that promote the readiness necessary for school success.

All three-and-four year olds children enrolled into the Keepers Pre-kindergarten program will be screened to determine eligibility for participation in the program.

Headstart Program

Head Start provides children with activities that help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally and physically.  The Head Start staff recognizes that, as parents, you are the first and most important teachers of your child.  Keepers Kids, Inc. welcomes your involvement in Head Start activities, which are encouraged as a part of the participant’s requirements.
